Hi, I’m Jacq, I’m the ceramicist behind Lines Ceramics

Maker of small-batch ceramics,  everything is made by me, either out of my garden shed, the kitchen table or at a shared studio space in Peckham.  

I love working with clay. So tactile, so primal, from lifetimes before. Each piece is unique.  From the drips of the glaze, to the curves, carves and folds of clay, and then the entire firing process makes it so.  The use of recycled clay blends also ensure they all have their own unique markings.  

Born in Australia, but based in London, my inspiration comes from my home.  Holding such space in my heart, the Aussie beaches, coastline, Eucalyptus trees and the vibe of beachside campfires, permeates everything I make.  I feel the sand on my fingertips when I drink from the coffee tumblers  and see the coastal rock layers and formations in the shapes I throw and build.   

I hope my ceramics brings you the same experience. I hope they bring moments of grace, gentleness and remembrance into your lives.

Care of ceramics

All items are dishwasher safe, but obviously to prolong the life of the item, I would always recommend caring for them as if they weren’t.
